Certificate Program and/or Associates Degree Program
Globe Institute offers a Certificate Program and a full Associates Degree Program in Sound Healing and Therapy -- the study of the effect of sound on human beings physiologically, psychologically, emotionally and spiritually. The Certificate Program is the first semester of a four semester Associates Degree Program.

The Certificate program is a comprehensive curriculum designed to provide students with a broad perspective on this expanding industry, enabling them to focus on their areas of interest. The Degree program then goes deeper into each of the areas of study with additional classes on Research and Clinical Psychology Ethics. The Certificate gets you to the point where you can utilize a variety of sound healing techniques, whereas the Degree program trains you to be a Sound Therapist with all the responsibility that comes with the career.

Sound Healing and Sound Therapy Associates Degree Program
Students will perform research projects on new sound healing techniques (in line with the goal of the Institute to bring proven esoteric healing modalities into the mainstream). Ultimately, you will come away from this program as a Professional Sound Therapist. You will be able to setup your own business a Sound Therapist, doing sound healing with your voice, instruments or computer technology. You will also be capable of producing Musical Productions with specific intentions to help people. But most importantly, you will come away with a clear perspective of your own inner sound landscape, and you will know your own frequency spectrum in order to better transmit love and light into the world.

Associates Degree Course Descriptions

Intermediate and Advanced Sound Healing Overview

This class is homeroom for all the other classes. We continue exploring different modes of sound healing, different instruments, and different concepts for the understanding of consciousness.

Instructor: David Gibson

Intermediate and Advanced Toning, Chant and Mantras

The class continues taking you into the ancient traditions of sound as a tool of consciousness. We continue exploring the huge world of chant traditions from all over the world. We go deeper into the 4 Streams of Sacred Sound: Shabda, Shakti, Bhava and Nada. Students learn to develop and lead their own workshops. Students also develop their own chants, mantras and voice practice.

Instructors: Janis Arch, Suzanne Sterling

Intermediate and Advanced Inner Music Theory

A deepening of subjects presented in the Inner Music Theory course. Emphasis placed on types of awareness and the roles of sound and music in its alteration and stabilization. By analyzing the subclasses of sound and music, understanding aspects of consciousness and awareness, experiencing a broad range of consciousness states through sound/music, and creating sonic experiences for one another, students will better incorporate the information from Inner Music Theory, be better able to affect a particular outcome with sound and music, and know themselves more deeply. Classes will consist of a mixture of sensory engagement, music analysis, discussion, group and individual creative projects, lecture/presentation and meditation.
